The last 365 photo project I did, in 2010, documented and eventful year in my life. As I started, Scott and I had seriously discussed divorce, a step we had been moving toward for several long years.
It will always be one of the great sorrows of my life that I couldn't stay in the marriage to provide my kids the home they were accustomed to and to prevent the heartbreak the divorce caused them. The year of photos images the most difficult year of my life so far.
In the early days it felt as if I was stepping off a high cliff, shattering into a million pieces and walking through fire. We cried rivers of tears. However, as time passed, so did the sadness. We learned to accept and even thrive in our new reality.
There was also breathtaking outpouring of love and support from my family and friends. Those folks carried me though the year to a new place of peace I hadn't even hoped existed.
This year, new project started in a very different emotional space. I can't wait to see what's next. Also new blog as Blogger doesn't upload the iPhone photos well.
