Ten!

My beloved boy turned 10 yesterday. He is amazing. He loves all animals, especially one he can have as pets. Papa gave him a starling for his birthday. He loves origami, video games, playing with friends, drawing, reading (sometimes) and telling jokes. He makes me laugh and can talk my ear off. He has shown remarkable grace and compassion during this past months of topsy turvy in our lives. Despite dire predictions about the affect of the changes in our lives this year, he got straight A's this year in school. My intention for his birthday was to show S how surrounded by love he is. We celebrated a birthday lunch with Nana, Papa, K, Angie, Nate and Uncle C. He lit the candles himself.

I love you to infinity, sweet S. xoxo.

We took a trip to Adventureland with life-long friends to celebrate. Lots of laughs, silliness and fun!

familiar." ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time." ~John Lubbock
